Super Dave asked:
I am going to be moving to Indianapolis this summer, and I plan to start looking for jobs soon. I would prefer a job in retail since I plan on going into retail management after college, but I’m not closed to anything at this point except fast food. I’m not too familiar with the area and would appreciate suggestions on good stores and places that are hiring right now.

Keep your searches simple and go for the heavy hitters:
Target is a fabulous company to get your foot in the door with - you can work for them through school and work your way up upon graduation if you have proven yourself to be an asset. Locations throughout the area and they are always open to bringing excellent people on board.
Then there are the Macy’s, Nordstrom’s, Carson Pirie Scott…located downtown and in the Castleton/Keystone area.
Other decent places to go with strong companies would be JC Penney and Kohl’s - each with about seven locations int eh immediate Indianapolis area.
Good luck
