hi, as I don’t now your nationality I guess you’re not a Thai, so for sure you need a work permit to do this kind of work in TH, be carefult obtaining some job with no permission.
To stay in TH as a tourist you need a minimum of around 30U$ a day, as budget hotels are available fom 500THB a day and the cost for food and drink is reasonable 25THB for a dish of rice with toppings,1 lt of bottled water 5THB and if you like to drink some alc a big bottle of beer not more than 80THB, all prices at normal roadside restaurants.
Have fun, it’s a great country

if your not thai your not going to get a work permit to work in a hotel or be an office clerk, these jobs do not require any special skill that any thai person could do. a office or hotel clerk will not make more the 5,000 baht a month.

the real budget hotels cost about 200 baht a day (i should say hostels, but i stayed in a hostel with my own room and 2 beds (more like cots) for 200 thb a night). Nowhere man is right, if you dont have a special skill to offer, nobody is going to hire you if they can hire a thai first and business visas are hard to get.
