With the cost of living so high these days it is becoming more and more difficult to be able to afford those necessities that we have found so easy to obtain in the past. What are some tips that you can provide to young adults that will keep the final total of their shopping receipts at a low and manageable amount?

My daughter is 13 and she says she wants to shop by herself, but im not sure how old she has to be before she can go out by herself. She yoused 2 get embarresed when i would come in with her when she was like 12 so i would give her some money and wait for her right outside the store. But she wants to actually start like shopping with her friends bythemselves. What should i say?

I have a shopping card but don’t know how to use it? Do you have to put bells on it or something?

My 16 month old has recently started to climb out of shopping carts. He won’t sit in the seat of shopping carts anymore and insists on sitting inside of the cart where all of the good stuff is, even if there’s nothing there. Even sitting inside the actual cart, he won’t stay sitting and wants to stand up. How do you suggest I deal with this and how do I get him to actually sit where he’s supposed to in the cart?

I love to camp, but my poor old tent has worn out and it is time to purchase a new one. There are alot more features available now, and I want to know which ones are worth the extra money, and which ones just add more weight to my gear. It was a little overwhelming shopping at the Bass Pro shop last weekend.

Also, where is the best place to find a good deal on these tents? I only have a family of four, so an extra large tent is not needed. Just one that is relativley simple to set up.

Thanks for your input!

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I really don’t understand how they are *supposed* to work. I can sit my son in the shopping cart, adjust the belt around his waist, clip it, and it does absolutely nothing to keep him from climbing out. So, how is that one waist belt supposed to actually act as a restraining device?

Any advice on what to look for when shopping around for home equity loans?

Are there referral commissions?

I have a couple of individuals looking for a home equity loan … I told them I’d look into it for them. I’d like to find a quality vendor, but if referrals commissions are paid out, I’d like to negotiate for that too.

How do I figure out what is a “great deal”?

PS. I’ll happily take general replies but this would be specific to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Hi, I am running out of time every week to sit down and make a shopping list. How do you make yours? I don’t want to go to the store without one because it seems like when I do, I forget what I really need and still end up spending double. All advise will be helpful. Thanks!

I am a mystery shopper, but that doesn’t pay enough to live on. I am wondering if anyone knows how to find mystery shopping scheduler jobs.
