I need to find a formula to take a colum A of retail prices and discount them by 25% and put the answer in B?

    It’s very simple if you’re doing this in MS Excel.

    Let’s say column A, row 1 (or cell A1) retail $ = 100. Then in column B, row 1 (or cell B1), the formula should read =(A1*0.75). The result in B1 should be $75.

    If you need to copy the formula for about 6,000 row, then simply:
    1.) highlight cell B1
    2.) click Edit, Copy from the toolbar
    3.) arrow down to cell B2, press down on the “Shift” key and page down (pressing the “Shift” key and “Page Down” key simultaneousl) until you get to row 6,000, then click Edit, Paste from the toolbar
