Cupid asked:
How can I find out the retail prices of birth control pills? I am thinking of switching my pill because my prescription co-pay went up.. and only covers $2 (thanks alot insurance) and Loestrin 24fe does not have a generic. Any list available out there? Thanks.

Try going to Planned Parenthood… they will give you some and they give them to you at a discounted rate.

It is different for every pharmacy- remember that even medication is a retail business. I would call each pharmacy in your area and compare prices.

I am with dizzybee>
you will find different prices @ different stores…(ie. rite aid, cvs, happy harrys…)
Prices can *really* vary!
I am off the bc pill now, but when I was on it I was taking ortho-tri-cyclen lo (also no generic) and it was over $60…(I have a deductable to meet…thanks to my insurance too…)
I would also tell your Dr., they will often switch you to a brand that has a generic. “newer” brands will not have generics yet.
