Sky Flying Gorgon Witch asked:
everything must go sales report?
Or perhaps you already knew the whole catch and trick behind all these ridiculous crazy days!
So does that mean not all Black Friday and Boxing Day close outs are such good deals?

Don’t get me wrong! I’m not condemning Black Friday and Boxing however you got to wonder why all the sales people are so enthusiastic when you buy something that is 75% off the actual retail price or so-called price?

There is a furniture store in my area that goes out of business every two months or so. They rent in the same industrial park but move from store to store. AND they change the company name as well so they can get away with it. Campose one day and Direct Buy Furniture the next. It’s been in business for years and I don’t know how they get away with it. It’s a shame.

I was at a store closing sale yesterday. I was quite surprised by the very slight markdowns. Assuming they needed to be out by the end of their business month, I expected to see savings beyond 25% off. Waste of time.
Regarding the 2nd link, I think that outlet/clearance retailers often inflate the “original price” to make their “sale” price look more appealing, for sure. The best thing a shopper can do, to add to the tips in the article, is to find out the pattern of your favorite store’s inventory taking days. Massive clearances come right before. They would rather sell it for 90% off than not sell it at all, count it, sort it, and send it back to the vendor.
