Congress controls the economy much more than the president.
Recessions take MANy years if not decades to get rolling - maybe Clinton DIDNT do sucha good job and now we are paying for his Enron’ing of the books? It’s clear that “providing cheap loans” was a bad idea - but I DO fault Bush - he should have fired everyone Clinton hired and undone every one of the Clinton policies (like cheap loans) while he had a chance.
I don’t think Bush caused this - but he certainly didn’t stop it when he had a chance
Bush control or has policies that affect retail sales??? The truth for most people are thinking Obama is really now in control of everything or at least his policies are becoming known and people are not spending due to his promised taxation policies. These things you will learn as you grow in age and intelligence.
but but but… raising your taxes to bail out the big 3 is going to promote you to spend more, and it won’t leave a sour taste in your mouth when it’s car shopping time?? Your tax money is going to go to a coporate company that is for profit… You save them on your coin, and then pump profits into them….
but but but…
“No We Can’t” justifiablly ask america to fund a private company.
To be 100% fair to Bush this really wasn’t his fault. Imagine if that man took an extremely active role in the economy. We’d all be so seriously screwed it would be ridiculous.
Is this a “Well he didn’t COMPLETELY ruin the country” argument? Yeah. But still.
I thought I did the economy some good this past weekend when I ran through some of my daddies money. I guess I’ll have to try again on Black Friday when my me, my mom, and my sister go shopping with my mom and dad’s money. If I can do one thing for this great nation it’s spend spend spend until we see a change in the economy.
People are broke because of easy credit. People took out mortgages they could not ever hope to repay. This was due to Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and yes even your boyfriend Barack Obama FORCING banks to loan to people with crappy credit and low incomes.
Now the party is over and the same geniuses who created this mess are the same ones who claim they can fix it. It makes me want to beat my head against a wall.
This is no more Bush’s fault than the man on the moon’s.

it’s only a record if you can’t remember hard times from over 20 years ago or 70 years ago.
you can either read about real hardship, decide to grow up, or go on espousing nonsense — it’s really your choice.
