Eh, it’s cause a lot of Americans still hold deep inside the same arrogance that made thousands of people drive big honkin SUVs and huge dually trucks that get 12 miles to the gallon for no practical purpose to drive by themselves to work. My truck is bigger than yours!

Great. What are we expecting for NEXT month? Bush increased our debt load to cut those checks. How is that helpful in the long run?

They will never admit they were wrong. As for the poster above me talking about arrogant people that drive SUVS and trucks , I drive an SUV and don’t regret it. I do need to fit my family somewhere. If I was a college aged liberal with no kids then maybe I could get a VW bug and not have an SUV. The malls in my area are packed with people, airlines are booked with people going on vacations. I still see people buying new cars and new clothes and TVs and cameras etc. I go to the mall and there are people from one end to the other. I spent my stimulus and gave back to the economy.

Actually the MEDIA said that people polled stated that they would SAVE or INVEST their checks. And, it stated that it would be used for bills.
I see you skimmed over the part where unemployment ALSO increased. It was the HIGHEST 1 month increase in 22 YRS.
