The Gap says only one item, a girls smock, was involved (BBC news), but this article by the Observer says “tens of thousands” of items…

Please don’t shop The Gap - this is so wrong!!!

This morning on one of the national talk shows they had a rep from the GAP. She was saying that they monitor their factories to be sure this doesn’t happen. However, there are so few people to check and so many more factories that this can happen. She said they were going to look into it and take action. Also, they have a number of factories, she said, that totally adhere to their rules. But, you just can’t be too sure now - so until I hear/see proof - I’m off the GAP

It is awful but to give Gap the benefit of the doubt, they may have been unaware of such practices.

    That is actually not true

those kids sneak in and pretend to be adults to get jobs and also in other countries they have different labor laws than us. Besides who do you think made the clothes you are wearing right now almost every company have kids who sneak in to pretend to be adults.

Think about it before you just acuse one company think of others

Yes I knew - watched the news too. Its the 21st Century not the 19th. Child Labour should not exist in the world today, its deplorable…! Am afraid I don’t shop at GAP anyway, and that will not change unless the policy changes. Don’t the big companies have enough money coming in to be able to pay an adult to do this work at a fair rate?
