price or plus delivery?

I just saw an article on the news that stated the wholesale price of gas at $2.17 per gallon ,with a suggested retail of $2.77 yet here in So. Cal. it’s going for $3.25 .
Hey, I really doubt anyone is making that little per gallon.

my friend ownes gas station..SW Virginia…she makes 4 to 5 cents a gallon..i dont know who or where the mark up is… gas co or truckers or depot..

2 to 5 cents a gallon profit…. Believe it or not!

Wholesale price + transport fee + tax + profit margin

Where I live, 48 cents per gallon is added to the price per gallon for state and federal tax.

So if a station has purchased 6000 gallons @ $2.17 per gallon and adds 48 cents per gallon for the tax…. We are now @ $2.65 a gallon…. add on the 5 cents per gallon for store mark-up…. @ $2.70 a gallon. Now take it up another 2 cents per gallon for transportation… Where are we now…. $2.72 a gallon

Need less to say, the wholesale price for gas is not just different state to state but city to city… As you can see above, the price jacks up real quick.
